This Shipping Policy describes how KDX Group LLC ("KDX Group") handles shipments, deliveries, held shipments and claims.
1. What we carry
We specialize in large and bulky shipments: pallets, crates, furniture, machinery and equipment. We do not carry hazardous materials, weapons, perishable goods, live animals, cash or any goods prohibited by the countries of origin, transit or destination.
2. Transit times
Estimated transit times are given in your quote and on the tracking page. They are estimates, not guarantees, and may change due to customs inspections, carrier schedules, weather or other events beyond our control.
3. Customs clearance
We file the customs entry for shipments carried through our network. When duties, taxes or fees apply, the consignee is notified by email or SMS with a link to pay online. The shipment is released for final delivery once payment is confirmed.
4. Delivery
- Bulky deliveries are made by appointment. We contact the consignee to book a delivery window.
- Someone aged 18 or over must be present to receive and sign for the shipment.
- Standard delivery is to the ground floor or loading dock. Room-of-choice and assembly services must be booked in advance.
- If a delivery fails because no one is available, a redelivery fee may apply.
5. Held and unclaimed shipments
Shipments with unpaid charges, or that cannot be delivered, are held at our facility. Storage is free for 7 calendar days after the first notification; after that, daily storage fees stated in your quote apply. Shipments not claimed within 30 days may be returned to the sender at the sender's cost or treated as abandoned, as permitted by law.
6. Inspection and claims
Please inspect the shipment at delivery and note any visible damage on the delivery receipt. Report concealed damage within 5 days of delivery, and loss within 30 days of the estimated delivery date, by contacting us with your tracking number, photos and the commercial invoice.
